I highly recommend this book, because it covers how to properly operate a metal lathe, includes the threading charts, and shows how to use all the attachments Atlas made for this lathe. We also have the Manual of Lathe Operations that would cover these model. These models were manufactured in the 1970’s. This would make it easier to take apart to work on, or order new parts for the Atlas 39 lathes. The manual also contains clear and easy to read explosive view diagrams of all the parts with parts descriptions.
It contains information on setup, lubrication, maintenance, and adjustments.
